Iggy Azalea Mentions Eminem In Her AMA Acceptance Speech

Eminem has been catching a lot of heat recently because of some lyrics in his song “Vegas” which mentioned raping Iggy Azalea.

Iggy took it upon herself to mention Eminem during her AMA acceptance speech recently. You can see what she had to say below:

“It means so much that I can stand here against Eminem and Drake and come out with this,”

“This award is the first award I’ve ever won in my entire life, and [it] means so much to me that it is for best hip-hop, because that’s what inspired me to move to America and pursue my dreams,” Iggy continued. “It’s what helped me when I was a teenager to escape and to get through my life and to better times.”

These are the lyrics that have been causing all the controversy:

“So swallow my pride you’re lucky just to follow my ride. If I let you run alongside the Humvee. Unless you’re Nicki, grab you by the wrist, let’s ski. So what’s it gon’ be? Put that s*** away Iggy. You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me. Scream! I love it. ‘Fore I get lost with the gettin’ off.”

It doesn’t look like this beef is going to be squashed anytime soon.
